Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi will appear in court on April 20, 2017 which is the day for his appeal against a 21-months jail term.

Messi was found guilty in July 2017 on three counts of tax fraud between 2007- 2009 and hit with a £1.5 million fine alongside his father Jorge.
It is alleged that the 29-year-old Argentine and his father defrauded the Spanish tax office of almost £3.6 million from by using a web of shell companies to avoid taxes on image rights earnings.
