Orji Uzor discloses Buhari health status (photo)

- Orji Uzor Kalu says President Muhammdu Buhari will be back in the country before June 11

- Kalu decries that some Nigerians are spreading messages of falsehood about the health of Buhari

- The former governor says he is disappointed with the statement coming from some Nigerians about the health of the president

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Orji Uzor Kalu, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s health has improved considerable.

The former governor of Abia state also disclosed that the president will be back in the country before June 11.

Kalu made the disclosure on Sunday, June 4, in an interview at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Vanguard reports.

The former governor who said he visited London to have first-hand knowledge on the state of health of Buhari, decried that some Nigerians were spreading messages of falsehood about the health of Buhari, rather than praying for him recover.

Kalu commended the Buhari administration for doing well in the fight against insurgency and the war against corruption.
He said: “I went to Washington to visit some business partners and from there stopped at London to see Mr President, who is recovering very fast . I am excited over the state of health of President Buhari despite the hate messages people were spreading about him. I am disappointed with the statement coming from some Nigerians about the health of Mr President”.

“The messages some Nigerians have been spreading in the social media is unhealthy. I am calling on Nigerians to have a change of heart. Being a President, does not mean, you cannot be sick, the hate messages are becoming too much.”

The APC chieftain commended the Buhari administration for doing well in the fight against insurgency and the war against corruption.

News Arena learnt that Kalu however, noted that the government should obey constitutional provisions as it affects the judicial arm of government.

“The government has done well, but there is a lot of suffering in the land. The masses are suffering , going through economic problems , the administration has done well, but must obey the laws of the land, by respecting judicial processes. Government must pursue the hardware and software of democracy that includes the rule of law and respect of the constitution,” he said.

Meanwhile, the first lady, Aisha Buhari has thanked Nigerians for all the prayers for her husband saying President Muhammadu Buhari will be returning to Nigeria soon.

The president left the country in May to London for a medical break and his wife who is at the moment with him has assured Nigerians that he is getting better and urged Nigerians to continue to pray for him.

The Nation reports that the first lady who was represented by her senior special assistant on Administration, Dr. Hajo Sani in a message to the 23rd Annual Ramadan Lecture of Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) held in Abuja said Buhari was returning soon.

She said: “My husband is recovering very fast. And very soon, he will return to the country to resume his official duties,” she said.
